supplied, the Comapny's memorandum and Articles of Association were then amended to comply with the provisions of the United Kingdom Companies Act 192) and upon the Order directing registration being made, the Company was required to comply with the terms of the enclosed S.R. & 0. 1942 No.565 relating to the filing of certain documents with the Registrar of Companies.

4. When the necessary legislation is passed in Hong Kong enabling companies which were temporarily transferred to this country to retransfer back to Hong Kong, the companies in question will have to apply to the Board of Trade for cessation of registration in England and they will thereupon receive a communication from the Board of Trade on the lines of the enclosed letter "D" which has been used in the somewhat similar case of Channel Island companies.

5. A separate communication will be addressed to you regarding the question raised in the letter of the 9th of April, 1946 concerning China Companies, and that communication will enclose copies of the Defence (China Companies Temporary Transfer of Registered Office) Regulation 1941. The other documents referred to in paragraph 9 of the letter of the 9th of April, 1946, are enclosed with this savingram and are referred to above.
